Reports To Senior Account Director / Account Director
Position Summary The Account Manager facilitates the output of an excellent product through superior project management skills and understanding of the client’s objectives. They ensure clients’ needs are delivered upon by the wider agency team and support in agency prospecting activity.

Requirements

Responsibilities
Builds relationships internally and externally
• Understands the importance of and forges strong relationships among, key internal departments and counterparts to facilitate the smooth progress of client projects
• Possesses a thorough understanding of client brand, the market environment and marketing strategy
• Develops excellent relationships with external suppliers

Manages projects and deliverables on time and on budget
• Fully understands agency processes
• Ensures implementation of all projects within their responsibility to quality standards, meeting all deadlines, or managing deadline amendment proactively
• Ensures regular client and agency update on programme/project progress, and manages any changes to planned activities that may occur
• Develops comprehensive creative and tactical briefs
• Assists Account Executives with tactical briefs
• Manages client budgets carefully and responsibly, establishes brand forecasts and manages client estimates and billing
• Proactively questions and problem solves with creative and production departments to ensure smooth progress on all client projects
• Participates in the assessment of creative offering relevant, insightful feedback and helps to develop the case to sell the work
• Compiles and monitors timelines and budgets on projects, alerting manager of problems and highlighting next steps
• Checks copy, layout and artwork meticulously against brief and relevant codes

• Understands the customer (and the facts and context surrounding them), the product facts, the legal liability (what we can/can’t say in communication); and the competitive landscape
• Takes initiative with clients, proactively offering thinking and ideas
• Builds client confidence by demonstrating an ability to creatively manage and deliver a
quality product, on time, on strategy and on budget
• Understands how each assignment fits into the brand scope, why an idea is right, and meets the client’s objectives
• Advise client on necessary programme changes/external issues and question and challenge client in a manner appropriate to the company and individual client
• Demonstrate innovation and creativity beyond client ideas in brainstorm sessions/when developing campaigns/programmes
• Supports the wider team on prospecting pitches
• Develops ideas for new tactics to sell into existing clients
Qualifications and Experience Desirable:
• Graduate or equivalent
• Experience working on pharmaceutical healthcare brands
